How to Create Beauty from the Inside Out

At 91, Patricia Bragg has flawless skin, hardly a wrinkle and a jawline as taut and refined as it was when she was 30!

How does she do it?

Here are her secrets for creating beauty from the inside out, and literally turning back the hands of time:

  1. Fasting one day a week for 24 hours, on pure, distilled water. She also loves longer fasts in the spring and summer. While the Queen of Clean prefers water fasting, I have always noticed that my blood sugar is more balanced when I drink green vegetable juices on my fasting days. Bone broth, herbal teas and clear vegetable soups give us a lift without compromising the purifying effects of the fast. You can even add a scoop of sugar-free protein powder to your juice if you are feeling weak or light-headed.

If you’ve never done a fast, don’t be intimidated! Jump in. You will be amazed at how much energy you have, and how light and clear you will feel.

2)    Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day.  Dehydration is may be the number one health concern. If you are feeing sleepy or foggy-headed mid-day, drink a big glass of water, and add a sugar-free electrolyte, and poof! You will wake right up.  I have had clients tell me that they drink gobs of water, but still feel dehydrated. That is because they do not have enough electrolytes in their body. Electrolytes allow us to absorb the water, rather than pee it out. I never leave home without them!

3)    Slather raw, organic oils liberally all over your body — your skin will love you! Patricia’s favorite is olive oil. That’s the ONLY thing she puts on her face!

Our skin is our largest organ, and we absorb an amazing amount of nutrients right through our skin. It’s actually easier for our bodies to digest nutrients through our skin than our tummies, especially if you have a hard time assimilating fat.

And last, but not least, get out into the fresh air, and take a long walk. Releasing stress is the number one most important beauty ritual!

We can all be ageless, without spending a fortune on face creams or beauty treatments. Mother Nature, as usual, is the best spa in town!
